Quarter life crisis. My story of being 25 is the initial inspiration of this collection.
It started off with my frustration and fear of unknown.
I wanted to create an exit and have a happy ending like a blooming flower.
Feeling like I’m at the bottom, below everyone.
Have a hope to get up but afraid of not knowing what to do.
Force myself to imagine a happy ending with all the fears I have inside my mind.
Stitch lines, print, rope on the garments were inspired from crack, drought and feeling of being stuck.
These were the images I thought about from questioning with frustration of being unsure.
Light weight mini pleats were taken from texture of flowers. This is coming from the hope, an exit; happy ending.
25, is a quarter. I wanted to be creative with the idea.
I blend this idea by having asymmetrical design elements, irregular prints and innovative construction.
Majority of my silhouette is big and heavy. Coming from the weight I felt during my 25.
